São Vicente émigrés head home for Carnaval

The vacationing émigrés will be met at the airport with Carnaval drumming and dancing in an initiative that is the result of a partnership between the municipal chamber, Samba Tropical and Airport and Air Security Company ASA, who intend to salute their compatriots’ participation in the island’s Carnaval celebrations and mark the first international charter flight to land at São Vicente’s airport.

The flight is scheduled to arrive at 10 :30 am, and the émigrés, who will arrive from Boston, Massachusetts (in the United States), will be given an ASA souvenir kit that includes a Carnaval mask. At 5:00 pm, the municipal chamber will offer the Carnaval participants arriving from abroad a cocktail session featuring traditional music.
